Revising conditional sentences, how can I not share with you this song by Jamie Cullum: If I ruled the World?
I didn't know this artist but it seems to me that he is very talented.

Happy New Year to all of you.

To revise conditionals, "If I were a boy" by Beyoncé.
I've chosen the video for its lyrics on screen and its quality. Don't worry about the Vietnamese captions.

Have a nice weekend.

Let's review Relative Clauses:
Restrictive / Essencial / Defining relative clauses

Non-restrictive /Non-Defining relative clauses

If you want to see what I have to tell you about relative clauses, you can go to my explanations on Bon's tips

And to review Conditional Clauses, 'If I needed someone' from the Beatles live in Japan, July 1966.

If I needed someone to love
Si necesitara a alguien para amar
You're the one that I'd be thinking of
Eres en quién pensaría
If I needed someone
Si necesitara a alguien.

If I had some more time to spend
Si tuviera más tiempo
Then I guess I'd be with you my friend
entonces creo que estaría contigo
If I needed someone
si necesitara a alguien
Had you come some other day
si hubieras venido otro día
Then it might not have been like this
Entonces pudiera ser que no hubiera sido así
But you see now I'm too much in love
Pero sabes ahora estoy demasiado enamorado

Carve your number on my wall
Graba tu nombre en mi pared
And maybe you will get a call from me
Y quizá recibas una llamada mía
If I needed someone
Si necesitara a alguien.
Ah, ah, ah, ah

If I had some more time to spend
Then I guess I'd be with you my friend
If I needed someone
Had you come some other day
Then it might not have been like this
But you see now I'm too much in love

Carve your number on my wall
And maybe you will get a call from me
If I needed someone
Ah, ah

As you can see they sweated their lyrics.
Como podéis comprobar, se "curraban" la letra.

Enjoy

Let's review conditional clauses and "would rather" with Simon and Garfunkel - El Condor Pasa

I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.

CHORUS
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man get tied up to the ground
He gives the earth
It's saddest sound,
It's saddest sound.

I'd rather be a forest than a street.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.

I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet,
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.

Enjoy

We are reviewing Conditional Clauses:

If you feel like you can do some exercises:

Exercise 1     Exercise 2      Exercise 3

And, of course a music video. A marvellous song written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings as a tribute to Clapton's four-year-old son Conor, dead nine months before when he fell from a  53rd-floor window in New York City: 'Tears in Heaven'

Y por supuesto un vídeo de música. Una maravillosa canción escrita en homenaje a su hijo de 4 años fallecido 9 meses antes al caer de una ventana del 53º piso en Nueva York: "Lágrimas en el cielo/paraíso".

Enjoy.
