This is the link I wanted to share with you before my laptop crashed last week: how to express wishes and regrets.

And of course, the song which reminded me why I loved so much this band: 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd.(Although, instead of "Desearía que estuvieras aquí", I prefer the translation: "Ojalá estuvieras aquí." Nonetheless, the translation is really good.)
